오얏 OHYAT
흩어진 자음과 모음으로 만드는 나만의 한글
오얏은 김천택이 1728년 여러 노랫말을 모아 『청구영언』을 엮은 기록과 전승의 의미에서 출발했다. 흩어진 노래가 모여 한 권의 『청구영언』이 되었듯, 흩어진 자음과 모음이 서로 만나 하나의 글자와 이야기를 만든다는 한글의 원리를 직접 맞추고 쌓고 조합할 수 있도록 구성했다. 300여 년 전 우리말과 노래를 다음 세대에 전했던 『청구영언』의 의미를 오늘의 놀이 방식으로 이어가며, 한글을 직접 만지고 즐기는 경험을 제안한다.OHYAT was inspired by the recording and transmission of 『Cheonggu Yeongeon』, compiled by musician Kim Cheon-taek in 1728. Just as scattered songs came together to form one collection, consonants and vowels meet and combine to create letters and stories. OHYAT transforms this principle into an interactive experience, allowing users to arrange, stack, and combine Hangeul pieces themselves. In doing so, it carries the spirit of passing Korean language and songs to future generations into a contemporary form of play and hands-on cultural experience.
