소파 위에 머무는 감정의 언어
알로소는 시대를 넘어 한국어의 다양한 표현을 기록하고 전해온 한글의 특성에 주목하고, 의성어와 의태어, 색채어 등 감정과 상태를 섬세하게 표현하는 우리말을 소파 디자인으로 확장했다. 소파를 단순한 가구가 아니라 휴식과 사색, 대화와 감정이 머무는 삶의 중심 공간으로 바라보고, 소파 위에서 이루어지는 다양한 생각과 감정을 한글의 언어와 조형으로 기록했다. 닮은 글자의 반복과 변주, 감각적인 한국어 표현 등을 각각의 소파에 담아 한글을 일상의 시각언어이자 감각적인 경험으로 풀어냈다.Alloso explored Hangeul as a writing system that has preserved and transmitted Korean language and expression across generations, focusing on the richness of Korean onomatopoeic, mimetic, and sensory words. Viewing the sofa not simply as furniture but as a central space for rest, reflection, conversation, and emotion, Alloso translated the thoughts and feelings experienced on the sofa into language and form. Repetition and variation of similar Hangeul characters, expressive Korean words, and sensory imagery are transformed into a collection of sofas that presents Hangeul as both a visual language and an everyday experience.
