티어스는 황진이의 「청산리 벽계수야」에서 흐르는 물처럼 멈추지 않는 삶에 잠시 쉬어가기를 권하는 ‘쉼’의 정서에 주목했다. 조선 시대에도 아이스크림이 있었다면 어땠을까라는 상상에서 출발해 전통차에 사용되는 대추와 계피를 선택하고, 깊고 고소한 단맛과 짙고 알싸한 향을 젤라토로 풀어냈다. ‘서리서리’라는 이름에는 「동짓달 기나긴 밤을」의 정서를 더해, 차 한 잔을 천천히 마시듯 잠시 머물러 누리는 건강한 휴식을 제안한다.TEAOUS drew inspiration from Hwang Jin-i’s “Cheongsan-ri Byeokgyesu-ya,” which invites the fast-flowing Byeokgyesu to pause and rest beneath the moonlight. Imagining what ice cream might have been like in the Joseon period, TEAOUS selected traditional ingredients commonly used in Korean tea—jujube and cinnamon—and transformed their rich sweetness and warm, spicy aroma into gelato. The name “Seoriseori” also recalls the sentiment of “The Long Winter Night,” proposing a gentle and healthy pause to be enjoyed slowly, like a warm cup of tea.
