시옷디귿 스튜디오는 『청구영언』에 담긴 우리말의 아름다움에서 영감을 받아, 한글의 기본 요소인 자음을 도자기의 ‘굽’에 담았다. 잔을 받치는 굽에 ㄱ, ㄴ, ㄷ, ㄹ 등의 자음을 입체적으로 구성해 우리의 문자가 우리의 일상을 받치는 모습을 표현했다. 『청구영언』이 우리말과 노래를 기록해 오늘까지 전했다면, 한글자음굽 잔은 한글 자음을 도자기에 담아 오늘의 생활 속에서 이어가고자 한다.siotdigeut studio was inspired by the beauty of the Korean language preserved in 『Cheonggu Yeongeon』 and incorporated Hangeul consonants into the “foot” of ceramic cups. Consonants such as ㄱ, ㄴ, ㄷ, and ㄹ are formed three-dimensionally beneath the cups, expressing the idea of Hangeul as a foundation that supports everyday life. Just as 『Cheonggu Yeongeon』 passed down Korean words and songs through written records, the Hangeul Footed Ceramic brings the Korean writing system into contemporary daily life through craft.
