문화예술교육 그리다의 ‘마음가락’은 이순신의 「한산섬 달 밝은 밤에」, 황진이의 「청산 속 벽계수야」와 「동짓달 기나긴 밤을」, 이황의 「도산십이곡」 중 「푸른 산은 어찌하여」, 남구만의 「동창이 밝았느냐」에 담긴 정서를 오늘의 선율로 재해석했다. 각 시조의 초장·중장·종장 구조와 감정의 흐름을 분석해 이를 음악으로 옮기는 ‘감정 번역 체계’를 고안하고, 시어의 흐름과 여백을 살린 선율을 음악상자에 담았다. 손잡이를 돌릴 때마다 오래된 노랫말이 새로운 선율로 되살아나며, 300여 년 전 화자의 마음을 오늘의 감정으로 이어준다.GRIDA’s “Maeumgarak” project translates the emotions of five sijo poems into contemporary melodies. Inspired by works by Yi Sun-sin, Hwang Jin-i, Yi Hwang, and Nam Gu-man, the project analyzes the three-part structure of each sijo and its emotional progression, developing an “emotional translation system” to transform poetic language into music. The resulting melodies are engraved into music boxes, allowing the old words to come alive anew each time the handle is turned and connecting the emotions of the speakers from more than 300 years ago with those of people today.
